About us (the lovers of biltong).

Hi! We are Simon and Monique, founders of The Chichester Biltong Company. South Africans now living in the UK on the glorious Sussex South Coast. We have been making Biltong for over 25 years, both at home and in South Africa, and not to put too fine a point on it – our Biltong is the best.

A bit about the founders of The Chichester Biltong Company.

Simon
As a cycling fanatic, I have a close bunch of South African mates who cycle with me at least once a week, come rain or shine. A shout out to Karl “the Machine” Von Mo-lendorf and Adrian Van Der Ploeg who are always up for a cycle down to the beautiful West Wittering beach. We sit on the sand, drink a beer and treat ourselves to my latest batch of wet fatty Biltong... my favourite! Always spicy!

As a Pilates teacher, I am always ‘on the go’ and I really need to up my protein intake... Fortunately for me, I make Biltong! It’s the perfect source of low fat protein. My husband and I love to sit down in the evening with a bottle of my favourite South African wine, Zalze, and we sip and nibble. Perfect. That’s me... always making time for perfect moments that remind me of home!
